Nordic Solution Architect – Infrastructure Outsourcing

The Infrastructure Outsourcing Solution Architect is responsible for working with Accenture Account and Sales teams to qualify and support Infrastructure Outsourcing (IO) sales opportunities that are profitable to Accenture. The Solution Architect (SA) plays a critical client-facing role that interprets and translates client requirements into a solution that can be configured from a standard set of offerings. The SA operates as a single point of contact or as part of a team (on large deals with multiple SAs) accountable to the SA SPOC from Stage 1 to deal closure and the transition to delivery organisation.

Key Activities/Responsibilities

• Work with account, sales teams and clients to shape relevant solutions and requirements fitting well to our strategy for infrastructure outsourcing
• Qualify opportunities using criteria including win probability, competitive landscape, client relationship, Accenture capability, deal profitability.
• Identify the key customer requirements, seek client clarifications, understand compliance and SLA requirements, envisage the high level solution and work with standardised tools to develop solution estimates.
• Where required, work with Subject Matter Experts to develop non-standard solutions.
• Verify that Accenture's proposition meets the client's needs and values.
• Influence client's selection process and evaluation criteria.
• Understand the complexities involved in integrating the various modules, functionalities supported, customer requirements compliance etc.
• Develop strong relationships with Account/Sales teams and other teams involved in the sales process e.g. financial, commercial and legal teams.
• Interface with the delivery organisation(s) to develop solutions that can be delivered, ensure effective transition, shape services, collaborate on clear solution assumptions, determine appropriate service delivery locations and related cost to deliver.
• Ensure that all solution approval processes are followed.
• Produce compelling and differentiated solutions that are cost competitive.
• Participate when required in sales support, negotiation and commercial strategy development.

Basic qualifications:

• +10 years’ experience in infrastructure operations, preferably in a management role or team lead. Alternatively, experience in a similar role at an equivalent organisation.
• Broad infrastructure technology knowledge.
• Experience in matching infrastructure volumes to appropriate operational support staffing.
• Understanding of financial concepts. 
• Understanding of and/or experience in applying ITIL concepts and processes.
