Virtualization Specialist

What will you do:

• Support and administration, resolving incidents affecting the operation/availability of high-profile production systems in private VMware cloud.

• Install, configure, maintain VMware infrastructure products - including HA, disaster recovery, business continuity concepts - (ESXi, vCenter, SRM).

• Migrations of various private cloud infrastructure components including support of migration to hybrid/public cloud.

• Manage and support blade and x86 servers hardware (HP, Dell, Cisco).

• Work with ITIL based service processes (Incident/Problem/Change Management).

• Creating and reviewing technical design plans for VMware environments.

• Experience with virtualization technologies:

  • Must have: VMware vSphere, vCenter, Site Recovery Manager,

  • Nice to have (any of the following): vSAN, vRealize suite, NSX, Oracle VM, Nutanix, Citrix.
     

• Nice to have: knowledge/experience with public cloud providers.

• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, PowerCLI) or programming language (as an asset).

• Base OS knowledge (Windows, Linux).

• Fundamental knowledge of data center networking, SAN storage.

• Infrastructure troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

• Willingness to learn new technologies.
