Branch Service Manager

The Branch Service Manager will be responsible for branch office MDF/IDF (wiring closet) administration including Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) and related infrastructure.  They will work with Field Services and OEMs to coordinate activities in the field, and work with Network and Compute teams as necessary for other infrastructure in the MDF/IDF. Responsible to administer, maintain and upgrade appliances and software that will monitor more than 150 uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and Environmental Monitoring Units (EMUs) that utilize APC StruXureWare. Manage work within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and alert notifications to be properly configured for monitoring purposes. Provide incident management support and attend regular meetings for necessary discussions or approaches for issues, resolutions, and projects. The Branch Services Manager will investigate issues and engage vendors as needed. Work with the client to resolve issues in a timely manner within the SLA. Verify all new equipment is operational when solutions are implemented.  Attend or schedule conference calls to discuss the work with all parties involved in a solution.  Collaborate with the PMO and project managers to design MDF/IDF/UPS solutions – repairs, buildouts and expansions that are required to support the infrastructure. Provide final project estimate to the project manager. Annually review work needed in the environment a year out that will include end-of-life replacements, refreshes, acquisitions, dispositions, and warranty extensions. Apply cost savings when possible.

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with branch office infrastructure administration, including UPS and EMUs services and related network and compute infrastructure.

  • FSM for a minimum of 5 years with extensive skills in coordinating efforts with field services and OEM teams.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience

Professional Skills:

  • Skills in troubleshooting and manage full spectrum of projects. Ability to provide solution estimates.
