WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Migrating to Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), implementing and maintaining the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (development, test, training and production);

• Introducing technical changes into the environment using a structured approach that minimizes risk and achieves high reliability, availability and performance of each SAP instance;

• Designing and implementing an optimal SAP configuration to maximize system performance and availability;

• Installing and configuring all required SAP database servers and application servers;

• Managing SAP users, authorizations, and profiles;

• Monitoring and managing the SAP background job workload;

• Configuring and manage the SAP subsystem for all SAP instances;

• Monitoring all SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.);

• Administering the SAP database (plan and perform database upgrades, upgrades, apply database maintenance, design and implement backup and restore strategy, database problem determination and resolution, etc.);

• Performing SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client) as required;

• Planning and implementing of SAP system upgrades;

• Applying and migrating SAP maintenance (hot packages and kernel upgrades, notes) through all systems using a structured methodology;

• Developing and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces;

• Providing status reports for projects to management.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?

• Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP BASIS (ERP, Solman, SAP HANA DB);

• Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable;

• Upper intermediate English – is a must;

• Ability to meet travel requirements when applicable;

• Basic knowledge of at least one public cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS);

Knowledge of the following will be an advantage:

• Experience in developing simple scripts and applications with one of: Node.JS, Python, PowerShell, PowerCLI;

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach using machine-readable definition files (for instance Ansible);

• Basic understanding of OS features (Windows, Linux, AIX);

• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, RHV/KVM, Hyper-V, Oracle VM) or cloud platforms (RedHat CloudForms; RedHat OpenStack);

• Foundation experience or reasonable understanding of some aspects(s) of network stack and network protocols;

• Agile or PMI  methodologies and norms awareness, understanding of CI/CD process, ITIL;

• Basic security awareness in the following areas: network security, application security, security protocols, cryptography, etc.
