• Project Role Description :Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. Perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

  • Key Responsibilities : A: 24 7 support of AS400 servers and troubleshoot OS related issues Responsible for daily operation of IBM i systems B: Responsible for download and install PTFs CUM, group and single to maintain the AS400 systems on latest level C: Installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM i hardware, software, network devices, journaling and IBM i access software D: Troubleshooting of backups and restore issues Should be able to perform backup and restore as per the request
    
  • Technical Experience : a: AS400 administration b: AS400 PTF/APAR Management c: BRMS configuration and troubleshooting d: Work management subsystem, jobqueue, outqueue etc e Performance analysis f Job scheduler Native and AJS g ATL VTL management h OS upgrade, System build and restore i Tools: - 1 HA Mimix, QEDD 2 Performance iDoctor, PM400, Lpar2rrd 3 Ticketing tool:- Remedy, Service now etc
