Federal - Zero Trust Security Architect

LOCATIONS:

Organization: Accenture Federal Services

Location: Remote

We are:

Accenture Federal Services brings together cyber and IT security to provide federal agencies with the most comprehensive, resilient security architecture possible. Our strategic approach is designed to leapfrog today’s untenable status quo, helping clients take advantage of next generation technologies and approaches to realize more effective and sustainable security.

You are:

An innovator and problem-solver. A high level, cross-domain cybersecurity architect, with a strong understanding of Zero trust. You can explain deeply technical security and architectural concepts to customers at the executive level. You're an expert when it comes to protecting on-prem and cloud-based systems. You can configure and deploy any security tool that comes across your desk -- and can design, integrate, and customize cutting-edge solutions. You have an excellent grasp of multiple areas of security, ranging from network security to identity and access management to application security. You have significant experience building solutions, not just monitoring them.

The Work:

  • Closely collaborating with customers (both executive and technical audiences), Accenture, and our vendor ecosystem partners to:
    • Perform Zero Trust security readiness assessments (e.g. gap analyses, maturity assessments)
    • Develop Zero Trust implementation roadmaps
    • Design and implement technical Zero Trust security solutions
    • Provide customer advice on and help lead policy, governance, process, workflow, and organizational change
  • Work to infuse Zero Trust design principles across all pillars in a Zero Trust model (e.g. Users, Devices, Networks, Applications, Data, etc.)
  • Lead enterprise-wide, end-to-end Zero Trust architecture projects involving cutting edge technologies and concepts, such as SD-WAN, SASE, edge computing, cloud technologies, enterprise identity, microservices, containers, encryption, tokenization, AI, ML, SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, threat modeling, etc.
  • Coordinate with appropriate organizational stakeholders to ensure Zero Trust is implemented broadly, end-to-end across customer environments
  • Develop innovative approaches and create efficiencies to our existing practices
  • Work across government and industry to evaluate and shape policy around Zero Trust and related topics
  • Stay abreast of federal and commercial best practices, implementations, and solutions to infuse into our client environments
  • Articulate security concerns and risks related to currently implemented or planned solutions and developers remediation or mitigation plans
  • Maps government/customer requirements and security control frameworks (e.g. NIST, DISA, OMB, etc.) to designed technical controls

Here's what you need:

  • 5+ years direct architectural experience designing, building, and maintaining -- not just monitoring -- enterprise IT systems
  • Hands on experience with common, enterprise grade network security & SIEM technologies (such as Zscaler, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, Splunk, ELK etc.)
  • Hands on experience with enterprise cloud systems (such as AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with Federal environments and standards

Bonus points if you have:

  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles, frameworks, and implementation strategies
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end product/solution sets to implement Zero Trust (such as SOAR, CASB, EDR, IdAM, DLP, SD-WAN, SASE, ZTNA, EDR, MDM, etc.)
  • Experience solutioning across Zero Trust pillars (User and Identity, Devices and Endpoints, Networks, Applications, Data Management, Analytics, Automation, etc.)
  • Experience with data classification standards and controls in US government environments and classified data handling
  • Strong understanding of data governance
  • Executive presence, business acumen, and presentation skills to interact with key executive customer stakeholders
  • Certifications such as CISSP, Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), Forrester Zero Trust Strategy
  • Knowledge of US security requirements related to regulations/standards such as NIST SP 800-171, 800-53, RMF, ISO 27001, SOX, etc.
  • Scripting experience with one or more of the following languages: PowerShell, Bash, Shell, Python or any front end/backend code
