Federal - Cloud Engineer

You are:  

An innovator and problem-solver. You’re an expert when it comes to protecting on-prem and cloud-based systems. And you can configure and deploy any security tool that comes across your desk. While staying on your toes, you design customized and cutting-edge solutions. You know security solutioning requires knowledge of infrastructure, trusted applications, continuous monitoring proper implementation of security appliances and virtual machines.  You understand who or what is connecting to the network and how to properly implement security frameworks such as Access Control and Zero Trust.

The Work:

The Cloud Engineer will:

  • Build and maintain internal infrastructure in Amazon Web Services
  • Work closely with other members of the team to solve problems, provide input to the system design process, and execute on design decisions
  • Research new technologies and solutions
  • Contribute to documentation
  • Migrate existing systems to the new cloud solution
  • Monitor and maintain high availability; Respond to system outages
  • Apply patches and upgrades


Here’s what you need:

  • 3+ years of Development and/or Administration of Public and Private Cloud vendors such as AWS/Azure/Oracle
  • 3+ years of Workflow automation and/or orchestration expertise with cloud technologies

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Version control systems (Git)
  • Unix or Linux shell environments
  • Event flows (i.e. Syslog)
  • Log management tools (i.e. Splunk)
  • Experience working in an enterprise environment
  • Proficient in technical writing and communication
  • A team player capable of high performance, flexibility in a dynamic working environment and the ability to lead
