People in the Sales career track play a key role working as part of our account team to grow pipeline and sales by originating, identifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities across a range of Accenture Intelligent Products & Platforms and Cloud offerings, They progress by deepening sales skills, developing new skills, and evolve into more complex sales roles on larger opportunities. Sales professionals drive the sales process and outcomes on a dedicated basis, growing a profitable pipeline and/or backlog of sales, through deal origination, sales negotiations, and closure.

You are:

  • A growth focused sales professional who has successfully created positive impact through year-on-year business expansion.  You have run all phases of a sales cycle, including origination, qualification, sales pursuit and close by applying deep sales process and technical expertise.
  • You develop relationships with key buyers and decision-makers at new and existing clients by utilizing a differentiated roadmap and framework leveraging the latest Intelligent Products and Platforms and cloud-based technologies.
  • These technologies will involve Software Platform Engineering and Modernization of customer facing Platforms, Cloud Native Platforms, Engineering Digitization including Product Lifecycle Management, Digital Thread and Digital Twin and IoT-Smart Connected Solutions.


The work:

  • Originates sales pursuits, create solutions to complex technology business problems/opportunities requiring in-depth knowledge of client buyer needs and closes sales.
  • Interacts with senior management levels at clients and within Accenture, determines pursuit strategies, develops client messaging plans and relationships, and applies industry-leading Digital transformation strategies and practices.
  • Has latitude in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
  • Operates within large teams and directs specific team sales activities.
  • Able to travel Monday-Thursday (as required) ​ post COVID travel considerations/concerns (as currently much of our work is virtual)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand Accenture offerings in the Digital Manufacturing space
  • Establish credibility with clients when presenting Accenture capabilities
  • Help client teams identify value levers to justify investment decisions in manufacturing IT technology
  • Work with several Accenture and client stakeholders during the origination and execution of the sales process, unconditionally building trust in every step of the way
  • Drive sales strategy alongside with our account executives
  • Build strong executive level relationships (C-Executives and VPs)
  • Support the team in negotiations and take the lead as required

A professional at this position level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:

  • Understands the strategic direction set by senior management as it relates to team goals.
  • Uses own judgment to determine optimal solution to recommend.
  • Primary upward interaction is with direct supervisor or teams leads.
  • Generally, interacts with peers and/or management levels at a client and/or within Accenture.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with minimal guidance.
  • Decisions often impact the team in which they reside and occasionally impact other teams.
  • Manages medium-small sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) within Accenture.


Here's what you need:

  • Deep knowledge of industry challenges, trends and priorities
  • 5+ years of experience in technology sales positions, preferably in manufacturing related spaces
  • Track record of developing and executing against complex sales strategies
  • Experience driving innovation and transformation in manufacturing
  • Excellent communication skills

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in managing alliance partners focused on Industry 4.0 topics
  • Solid technical knowledge of MES/MOM, Control Systems, Historians, Advanced Process Control, Digital Twin, IIOT, 5G, Product Lifecycle Management, Low-Code/No-Code Platforms, Analytics applied to manufacturing, Cloud, and/or Asset Performance Management
