Job description:
JOB SUMMARY
The candidate to work closely with all internal Ecosystem stakeholders on the Data Science projects. We use data science as a mean to increase knowledge at a fast pace, blending classic statistics with machine learning. The Senior Data Engineer will support the Data Science team to transform data into a format that can be easily analyzed. They should have expertise in developing, maintaining, and testing infrastructures for data generation & architecting solutions for data scientists that enable them to do design & build data science driven business solutions
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive
business solutions.
• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Assemble large, complex data sets
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using relevant technologies like SQL, AWS ‘big data’
• Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing the data science driven business solutions
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Graduation/post-graduation in computers/Engineer from a reputed institute.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Have experience with Azure, Databricks, Cloud configuration, databases, data pipeline environment setup & maintenance
• Have experience in SQL, Python, PySpark, Data prep and ETL
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
• Proven track record of supporting global clients or internal stakeholders in data science projects.
• Experience of working across multiple geographic borders and time zones.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Outstanding spoken and written communication skills: able to deal confidently, tactfully, and appropriately with people of different disciplines and at all levels of the organization.
• Able to build strong relationships with multiple global stakeholders quickly via virtual tools; listen, understand, and respond to any concerns.
• Comfortable working within a large and complex environment with multiple stakeholders and interest groups.
• Ability to motivate and influence others to achieve results.
• Strategic planning abilities.
