IT Service Management Advisor Pre sales EU sector

LOCATIONS:

Our Health & Public Service practice in BeLux is looking for seasoned pre-sales professionals to join the team and help to further expand our footprint at European Union institutions and agencies.

As a Senior IT Service Management Advisor, you will be involved in (pre-)sales activities and your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Translating client needs and requirements into compelling and well-structured proposals to call-for-tenders in the domain of IT consulting, large-scale system implementations and application/infrastructure outsourcing engagements.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders at European Union institutions and agencies on early-stage conversations, Q&A sessions and proposal presentations.
  • Supervising and reviewing the work of the proposal team and coach them to become more effective.
  • Optimising proposal writing procedures, facilitate the implementation of best practices and work proactively to identify and roll out adaptations.

Your Team

Accenture BeLux’s Health and Public Service (H&PS) practice helps public sector organisations such as EU and Belgian governmental institutions to embrace innovation and transform fast, enabling them to operate smarter, achieve more and deliver improved services for citizens. H&PS is a welcoming community which performs both sales and delivery-related tasks for our business and our clients.

You will be working closely with your colleagues from the H&PS community (especially our Sales Team) as well as fellow proposal writers, solution architects, opportunity leads, senior management and subject-matter experts from across Accenture.

You will be a member of the pre-sales team focused on shaping and articulating the technical proposal of the call-for-tender response. This team is a multi-discipline team of T-shaped profiles, each with their own area of expertise, but savvy and curious about the other domains and as such collaborating to provide client-relevant, compelling and integrated technical offers across the domains of Technology Architecture, Cloud Architecture, IT Service Management, IT Operating model design, Agile delivery, etc.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of hands-on experience as Technology Advisor in the domain of IT Service Management and IT Operating model design, setup and execution.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in supporting the shaping and writing of proposals for call-for-tenders.
  • An excellent level of English (C1-C2) with outstanding written and verbal communication skills is a must; an advanced level of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the European Union public sector landscape, namely the EU institutions, agencies and other bodies, is a plus.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

We are looking for profiles with sound experience – coming from hands-on experience and industry-standard expertise – in the following:

(1) IT Operating Model Definition and Setup

  • Having played a key role throughout the Service Management lifecycle; from developing a Strategy to Designing solutions, Delivering outcomes, and continual improvement.
  • Having used strong business analytical skills to synthesise client issues into key challenges.
  • Having created a roadmap for Service Maturity, Transformation and Improvement while bringing the client along the journey.
  • Having gathered requirements and to provide guidance on how to design and develop IT Service Management as a strategic asset.
  • Having designed a Service Catalogue to enable IT to communicate effectively with the Business.
  • Having consulted on and designed ITSM and SIAM frameworks and tooling.
  • Having designed target IT Operating Models across its key dimensions such as process design, performance improvements, key roles and responsibilities, governance and technology.
  • Having supported customers through Transformation journeys (i.e. Journey through cloud).
  • Having defined and setup SLA/OLA frameworks.

(2) Experience in IT Operations or Delivery

  • Having execute IT Service Management processes according to best practices: across the Service lifecycle with particular in-depth knowledge of Service Transition processes and Service Operations, including knowledge management and continuous service improvement.
  • Service Delivery experience dealing with senior customer representatives in a high pressure setting.
  • Having enabled client business outcomes through delivery of change such as cost reduction, operational effectiveness and embedding change and cultural adoption.
  • Having a solid understanding of IT production operations, quality practices, and client services.
  • Having experience working in an ITIL environment, and knowledge of the ITIL framework.
  • Having led and participated in solution delivery following common methodologies including Agile, waterfall, Dev/Ops.
  • Good communication, technical aptitude, understanding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of cloud services including compute, networking, storage and database services is a plus.

(3) Certifications

  • ITIL V3 certifications is a minimum requirement (V3 expert & V4 certifications preferable).
  • A plus:
  • Wider complimentary skills such as AWS, Google, Azure, ServiceNow certs and SRE are desirable but not compulsory.
  • IT Management such as COBIT.
  • Standards in European Institutions: ENGAGE, PM2.
