Platform Innovation Manager (AWS)

Reporting into the Platform and Cloud Market Development Lead this role will collaborate with other key team members across the business, including MU Innovation and Technology leads, industry and functional network leads, and will drive origination, business development, sales and programme management activities as needed.The Market Development Manager will have responsibility for managing the innovation lifecycle in key Platform deals with AWS (visioning & ideation, concept development, experimentation, incubation, commercialization/scaling, and ongoing project management). The candidate will be responsible for championing of AABG hybrid innovation offerings in the European market and for identifying opportunities for closer collaboration. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating across the Accenture Innovation Network, leveraging resources with special skills to develop assets in support of the European business. This role will also be responsible for requesting and managing funding support and planning annual financial recoveries for related expenses and managing these budgets to target.This position is likely to require some travel in future – approximately 25% average through the year – with a degree of unpredictability, for client sales and other market-facing related activities. The position is flexible in supporting “work from home” when not traveling to client sites, as allowed within local office policies and guidelines. Other flexible work arrangements can be discussed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with counterparts in AABG (both Accenture and AWS) to shape and deliver game-changing innovation propositions for our clients. Target offering areas include combined Culture of Innovation and combined Data Innovation
  • Contribute to AABG proposed investment plan to enable the strategy and roadmap, including managing approved investments through their lifecycle
  • Work with AABG counterparts to lead and manage business development activities including origination, qualification, development of client propositions and relationships for AWS and AABG Innovation opportunities
  • Lead Client Innovation engagements for AWS linked opportunities (ranging from growth strategy to proof of concept to market launch)
  • Drive the Launchpad opportunity pipeline in Europe (rapid prototyping function for AWS services)
  • Support the European Platform Innovation Lead to drive the fundamental shift in how the business thinks about Platforms as a mechanism to deliver increased value and business outcomes for our clients, driving overall growth in Innovation and Platform sales
  • Provide input for the European Platform Innovation strategy and associated roadmap
  • Support priority sales opportunities with Innovation Offerings and Platform Innovation Strategy
  • Develop assets and provide relevant information to enable solutioning and client sales teams
  • Build strong internal and external networks to reinforce the relationship between AWS and Accenture for Innovation
  • Build Network of AWS Innovation advocates across the European network and collaborate with NA and GM counterparts to ensure cross learning opportunities


This is a European market-level role – applications from any location within Europe will be considered- This role requires an effective movement in (switching teams)

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and delivering a broad range of Innovation services for clients
  • Understanding of current Platform market trends, technologies, strategies, solutions and tool
  • Entrepreneurial mind set, self-starter style, and ability to drive outcomes
  • Ability to lead and manage dynamic multi-disciplinary, multi-region teams
  • Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment while also working semi-autonomously
  • Track record of end to end delivery of scaled innovation
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work across Europe in a dynamic and initially virtual environment
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience developing and scaling new ways of doing things
  • Experience developing and delivering platform-enabled solutions
  • Experience in data analytics and modelling
  • Acumen in new product or service development and capability building
  • AWS Cloud Services Practioner Qualification or or AWS Certifications
  • Additional European languages an advantage
