Growth Markets Senior Counsel - Applied Intelligence

The Global Services Legal team is seeking to appoint an attorney to act as Senior Services Counsel (Senior Counsel) in support of Accenture’s Applied Intelligence (AAI), which is a part of Strategy & Consulting.

This Senior Counsel will support assigned businesses within AAI and regional legal activities.  The Senior Counsel will report to the Global Legal Lead for the AAI Business. Key Responsibilities

You will act as a trusted adviser to the assigned Applied Intelligence Leadership Team members, working to help manage and mitigate risks, collaborating with senior stakeholders across Legal and other Corporate Functions to:

• Manage, coach and develop your team members or contractors to enable solution orientated support to the Business, aimed at enabling growth
• Assess existing portfolio and new products and services offerings and guide them to market in a legally compliant manner with appropriate risk mitigations (contractual, operational, technical, etc.)
• Support strategic evaluation of prospective acquisition targets in Growth Markets , and shape post-merger integration strategies of higher risk acquisitions
• Work with other teams and participate in initiatives to create frameworks related to cutting edge, cross-industry topics that address technology, ethics, human rights, legal and societal issues
• Develop and roll out training to increase the applied intelligence acumen of Legal and, provide targeted training to the business, as needed
• Work with Accenture’s regulatory and compliance counsel to synthesize and apply regulatory and compliance advice, including future-looking projections of any anticipated regulatory changes potentially impacting the business in Growth Markets

Basic Qualifications

• Admitted to the bar (or local equivalent) and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law.
• 8+ years legal experience of relevant attorney work.
• Experience with data driven products and services, Internet of Things, extensive experience with cloud computing, software embedded in devices, artificial intelligence, or edge computing.
• Experience in advising on the development and launch of new technology products, from ideation through go to market.
• Deep expertise in relation to data privacy risk and mitigation in a B2B or B2C context.

Preferred Experience

• Risk analysis and development of risk mitigation strategies;
• Awareness of applicable regulatory landscapes and the effect on product development & deployment;
• Deal shaping and evaluation of innovative commercial models for new product and service offerings; and
• Developing trusted relationships with senior business leaders.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Candidates will be:
  • Pragmatic and practical in their approach to advising and delivering legal support;
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to influence internal stakeholders, external clients and suppliers;
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity;
  • Excellent communicators and well organized;
  • Flexible to work global hours where necessary; and
  • Highly proficient at speaking and drafting in English.
