Global Services Legal Technology

LOCATIONS:

The Global Legal Network (GLN) is a network of talented professionals located in various locations worldwide enabling the provision of contract management and legal support in 17 languages. Key languages supported are English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Japanese, and Mandarin; while limited language capability is available in Czech, Danish, Dutch, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Swedish and Korean.

The GLN Global Services Area provides support to Interactive, Strategy & Consulting, Technology, Operations and Intellectual Property Legal and business teams. Our team is now looking for a legal professional to join the GLN Global Services Operations team.

Collaborate with the Operations Services Counsel team in order to help the Operations Business manage and mitigate risks, comply with laws and company policies, and undertake ethical considerations in its endeavors.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist deal lawyers in BPO/BPS deals within the scope of the following offerings:

Sales/Markets 6 Cross-industry BPS (e.g. F&A, Sourcing & Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales & Customer Ops, Talent & HR) 5 Industry-specific BPS (e.g. Health, Utilities, Insurance, Compliance, Credit Services Network). Accenture Interactive Operations Trust & Safety.

  • Provide support as SMEs and/or Product Counsels in BPO/BPS deals leveraging Operations (Accenture or Third Party) tools.
  • Conduct contract assessments, analyze, review and provide input on Third Party vendor agreements and documents such Software License agreements, Cloud Services agreements and its amendments, in order to identify mandatory flow-throughs.
  • Draft terms of use to enable the incorporation of Accenture´s and/or 3P tools into a client-facing solution in a BPO/BPS deal.
  • Analyze, review and provide input on other type of requests, such as SOAP (Software Offering Assessment Program) requests, non-OSS licenses reviews, etc.


Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

  • JD degree or equivalent degree or legal qualification
  • Native or proficient English language skills
  • 4+ years legal experience, with preference of some in-house experience and interest in technology; Good understanding of: (a) Technology transactional experience either in drafting and negotiating technology focused client facing and/or vendor facing agreements (i.e. data licensing, software as a service agreements, cloud, software license agreements, or software development agreements), in a law firm or comparable in-house legal department or military group; (b) Understanding of legal issues related to bringing new assets and offerings to market in a legally compliant manner, including offerings utilizing machine learning, third party data, or the delivery of digital marketing campaigns; (c) Working knowledge of: (i) privacy issues regarding consumer or personally identifiable data; (ii) IP law; and (iii) open source licensing; (d) Experience with data licensing or monetization strategies; (e) Understanding connection between in-bound agreements and client-facing agreements; (f) Risk analysis, appreciation and management.
  • Special consideration for candidates who have: (a) Experience drafting templates and/or negotiating all relevant types of agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, third party content and technology licenses, digital services, hosting and SaaS agreements; (b) Good negotiation skills, including internally within the company and with customers or suppliers.
  • Interest in developing subject matter as well as product counsel expertise as a Global Services Operations legal professional and becoming part of a friendly and global team.
  • Used to working in diverse teams, with ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive successful results;
  • Strong commitment to deliver the work product in time collaborating efficiently with colleagues and supervisors, Operations SMEs, stakeholders, leadership, other Global Services towers and Accenture Legal teams.

Good research, time-management, prioritization, organizational, communicational, and analytical skills;

Execute tasks with autonomy and good judgement and provide review for team members at lower Levels/New Joiners as required.

Ability to suggest process improvements, help develop tools and proficiency in MS Office Suite of products.
