About Global Services Legal (GSL) and GLN Global Services Team

The GSL team is a strategic business partner and a product counsel for the four Service lines of Accenture, i.e. Interactive, Strategy & Consulting, Technology and Operations. The GLN is a network of talented professionals located in various locations worldwide enabling the provision of contract management and legal support in 17 languages, and the GLN Global Services Area provides support to GSL within above mentioned services including Intellectual Property. Our Area is now looking for a legal professional to join the GLN Global Services Technology team which includes providing support to any of the following services: Blockchain, Software Products and Platforms, Innovation Labs, Cloud, and Cybersecurity/Security.

What are your responsibilities?

Technology Counsel support includes the following tasks:  

• providing legal Subject Matter Expert support to contract managers and contracting legal professionals prior to and during deal negotiations;

• collaborating with onshore Technology SMEs on the legal clearance process of offerings and software assets,

• providing legal advice to sales teams, product owners and software development teams,

• conducting legal assessments of Security offerings and making recommendations that mitigate risks, while enabling desired outcomes for the business;

• analyzing and approving legal aspects of the development process of new software products and releases

• drafting, maintaining and updating contract templates and guidance documents with special focus on License, SaaS, and Security related agreements,

• reviewing and analyzing vendor and client contracts,

• providing legal advice on Hackathon events,

• assisting with special research projects such as legal research, contract readiness assessments on new technologies, and contract benchmarking;

• reviewing marketing materials, and performing legal reviews of Open Source Licenses.   

Are you the right fit for the job?

• Lawyer with technology and contracting oriented experience.

• Native or proficient English language skills.

• 4+ years legal experience, with preference of some in-house experience;

• Good understanding of (a) legal issues surrounding bringing new offerings to market in a legally compliant manner, (b) intellectual property rights, including content clearances, software and technology licensing, and cloud and as-a-service solutions.

• Special consideration for candidates who have basic understanding of software development and Cybersecurity, and/or experience drafting templates and/or negotiating all relevant types of agreements such as MSAs, SOWs, third party content and technology licenses, digital services, hosting and SaaS agreements, sponsorship agreements, etc.

• Interest in developing subject matter expertise as a Global Services Technology legal professional and becoming part of a friendly and global team.

• Used to working in diverse teams, with ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive successful results;

• Strong commitment to deliver the work product in time collaborating efficiently with colleagues and supervisors, Interactive SMEs, stakeholders, leadership, other Global Services towers and Accenture Legal teams.

• Good research, time-management, prioritization, organizational, communicational, and analytical skills;

• Execute tasks with autonomy and good judgement and provide review for team members at lower Levels/New Joiners as required.

• Ability to suggest process improvements, help develop tools and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.
