The Cloud Network Engineer job responsibility is to proactively monitor and maintain Network Cloud based system for Accenture customers using best practices processes and methodology. Additionally, the resource is responsible for issue resolution, request fulfilment and capacity planning of the Cloud solutions.
Responsible for producing high quality deliverables in a timely fashion. Performs project management activities such as planning, sizing, and scheduling activities. Responsible for analyzing problems, developing solutions and making decisions that impact projects. Ensures systems implementations occur in accordance with established needs.
This position interacts directly with client staff to coordinate and execute operational activities; the resource may follow directions from Accenture client’s management levels as well as Accenture Delivery Manager.
General Requirements
English Language (Oral and writing)
Knowledge/Training on best practices or IT frameworks, such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Information Systems is a plus
5+ years of information systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Knowledge of & experience with monitoring tools and alert resolution-strongly preferred
Project Coordinator-required (cert a plus)
4-5 years managing network firewalls
4-5 years managing routing/switching infrastructure
Experience with Networking in a public Cloud provider – preferably AWS
Familiarity with SDN or other large scale, multi-site network architectures
Experience with IPSec, VPN, and tunneling methods between network areas
Deep knowledge of network protocols, load balancing technologies and Transport protocols
Hands on experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
Strong business knowledge and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated decision-making and leadership abilities
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Resource will work Monday to Friday, mostly during business hours, Central Standard Time.
Resource will adjust its local schedule with the resources supporting this position during Daylight Savings time changes in the applicable Time Zone.
