About the team

Our New Products and Services (NPS) team at the Dock is applying leading Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (A&AI) technologies and techniques to address significant real-world business and societal challenges. Collaborating with our clients, designers, software engineers and industry experts, we take concepts on the journey from idea to reality. About your role

We are seeking an experienced, accomplished and pro-active leader with strong commercial AI & Analytics experience. Expertise in the AI arena, with a track-record in the commercial application of emerging technologies such as Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing or Computer Vision is a distinct advantage.

You will be responsible for helping to shape the Dock’s NPS pipeline of work, our point of view and key themes in Advanced Analytics & Artificial Intelligence. You will be required to be an experienced SME in the Advanced Analyitcs & AI field, with proven ability to use data to solve real world problems at enterprise scale. You will support and generate opportunities with Accenture’s business groups and our current and emerging clients.

You will work as part of a multi-displinary team in NPS at the Dock, collaborating with our ecosystem partners and our clients on their most complex challenges. You must have the skills to engage senior client and external audiences, to facilitate working sessions, to partner with client teams in crafting pioneering solutions and to advocate for the NPS team and A&AI discipline.

As part of the leadership group within NPS, you will lead a portfolio of work in the Analytics & Artificial Intelligence domain. You will provide leadership and direction, with overall responsibility for definition of key themes, technical roadmaps, realisation of business value and identification of IP. You will establish yourself as a leader in our NPS team, a role model in the Analytics & AI discipline, build our expert community, champion our domain, inspire our people and guide the quality of our work.

Your everyday abilities

As a Senior Analytics & AI Lead, you will be expected to:

• Be technically strong, leading and driving the content of your portfolio of work.
• Collaborate with Accenture’s business groups and clients to identify and shape breakthrough  concepts that embody the transformative impact of Analytics & AI on our clients’ business.
• Shape, design and implement prototypes, proofs of value and MVPs that demonstrate the art of the possible with emerging analytics and AI technologies, in collaboration with the other teams in Accenture and the Dock.
• Develop scalable data-driven applications and transfer solutions to commercial and technical scaling groups across the Accenture Business.
• Be responsible for the outcomes, measures of success and technical quality of the projects within your part of the NPS portfolio of work.
• Display strong awareness of the Analytics & AI technology and business ecosystem to identify new capabilities for our clients and shape projects that show how these capabilities can transform existing businesses and the way people live and work.
• Bring deep technical industry expertise in the commercial application of Advanced Analytics & AI to real world problems. For example, customer experience, enterprise process optimisation, enhanced decision-making or comparable areas.
• Establish yourself as a leader in shaping the Dock’s and our NPS Analytics & AI perspective, understanding the business implications of emerging A&AI technology, and being able to match the future opportunities of those to our cleints’ business challenges.
• Publish, showcase and present the Dock’s work to internal and external audiences to positively impact the Dock’s and Accenture’s brand and reputation.
• Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to senior non-technical client executives and external audiences. 
• Facilitate working sessions and partner with client teams to craft pioneering engagements and solutions.
• Embrace working in multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with designers, software developers, business experts and Accenture teams external to the Dock.
• Manage, guide and mentor team members in their technical and professional development, being responsible for their performance management, growing our future leaders.
• Play a proactive role in the leadership of the Analytics & AI discipline in NPS at the Dock, guiding and leading the community, direction, strategic vision and roadmap.

Extras we’d love to see

• Knowledge of state-of-the-art developments in advanced analytics & AI.
• Experience leveraging cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), and particularly their analytics and machine learning services (e.g., AWS SageMaker).
• Experience leveraging deep learning techniques and technologies (e.g., transfer learning, GANs, TensorFlow)
• Experience leveraging NLP techniques and technologies (e.g., topic modelling, sentiment analysis, word embeddings, language models like BERT).
• Experience leveraging Computer Vision techniques and technologies.
• Broad knowledge of software engineering principles, technologies and best practices.
• Experience across the full software development life cycle.
• Proven experience in designing and developing commercial AI based systems and applications architected and engineered for scale.

Experience and qualifications

• Strong academic qualifications in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computational Linguistics or a related discipline. PhD level an advantage but not essential.
• 10+ years of increasing leadership experience in technical roles developing data-driven applications through projects or products, preferably in the Advanced Analytics, Computer Science or AI domains.
• 7+ years of experience in the commercial application of Analytics & AI including statistical modelling, advanced data science, unstructured data analytics and AI systems. You should be an accomplished hands-on practitioner and be capable of leading technical experts.
• Skills or experience in the Enterprise AI domain in areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning or computer vision.
• Proven ability to Lead and Manage complex technical Advanced Analytics delivery from concept to solution, including ideation, project shaping, technical delivery and the identification and protection of Intellectual Property.
• Deep Expertise in applying technology to solve business problems and in articulating technical concepts and analysis to senior non-technical business leaders.
• Experience in development and design techniques and methodologies for Analytics & AI
• Industry domain experience in the Industrial, High Tech, Financial Services, Health & Life Sciences or other industries relevant to Accenture clients.
• Demonstrable experience in leading complex analytics-based projects and programs of work, in dealing with ambiguity and in guiding senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrable ability to work in a global collaborative & multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Adept at framing business problems and identifying value from Advanced Analytics
  • Experience of using design-thinking to generate ideas & frame problems effectively
  • Expert communications skils, data-storytelling skills an advantage
  • Experience in Quick prototyping and Agile development
  • Experience in user stories and prioritization, defining and measuring success metrics and stakeholder product reviews.
• Proven leadership experience in managing, coaching and mentoring large technical teams including data scientists and engineers.
• Experience in cultivating and managing relationships, influencing at executive level and advocating for your team.
• Proven ability to collaborate with different entities to shape projects across business themes; and manage ambiguity in project definition, scoping and execution
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
