Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Lead and coordinate the HR categories on a regional level:

  • Perform strategic analysis and evaluation of data, market insights, contracts to identify opportunities in evolution and innovation: Disrupt in a measured way & challenge the status quo

  • Be a driving force to proactively suggest innovative ideas to help transform the HR organization and other stakeholder groups

  • Drive P+ value contribution and service while ensuring compliance with policies and strategies

  • Communicate, execute, and implement regional category initiatives, support global initiatives

  • Drive success in global/regional targets, set in alignment with the HR Category Team and GCD

  • Lead or assign regional sourcing/procurement activities, support global initiatives

  • Coordinate and oversee regional sourcing / procurement activities

  • Engage with key stakeholders on a regular basis, aligning on business goals

  • Review and approve regional category strategy definition and project execution

  • Assist with target setting and category planning in alignment with the GCD and HR Category Team

  • Align with our ‘Global Principals – Locally Influenced’ and work with peers to evolve

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Procurement Plus HR categories on a regional level:

  • Foster knowledge sharing between global/regional/local P+ and HR category resources

  • Be a category transformation enabler by seeking cross category synergies and opportunities of alignment with stakeholders and the market

  • Support the GCD with the identification of stakeholders and definition/evolution of the strategy

  • Benchmark category practices with global trends to identify initiatives for improvement

  • Be aware and proactively manage of the impact of changing requirements, including legislation and policies

  • Encourage team spirit through our category community

Ensure successful implementation of regional strategy / agreements:

  • Coordinate resource allocation to support regional initiatives

  • Lead regional category strategy development and implementation, aligned with Global

  • Ensure regional/local negotiations and sourcing activities are in line with global category strategy

  • Support business profitability (incl. sales) related to HR across the global Accenture organization

  • Promote the use of contracts and buying channels according to category strategies

Manage supplier and customer relationships on a regional level:

  • Lead, develop and manage regional, selected global, supplier relationships in line with the category principals and 360 Supplier Relationship Management strategy

  • Develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders

  • Manage internal customer feedback on category organization & supplier performance

  • Consolidate requirements and act as business partner across Functions and Subcategories

  • Proactively organize sessions with internal customers to identify value contribution opportunities

  • Ensure that input from stakeholders is considered in the category strategy and sourcing processes

  • Manage a detailed pipeline of upcoming projects / opportunities gained from regular touchpoints with stakeholders

  • Act as an escalation point for category related issues and drive resolution in line with regional and global targets

Perform category management activities for regional projects:

  • Drive supplier performance by, for example, implementing lessons learned across different markets

  • Perform supplier selection and fact-based negotiations

  • Involve the business for actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation

  • Drive deep Corporate Services market intelligence into all aspects of the value proposition

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert in category management, sourcing as well as project management and planning

  • Excellent knowledge of procurement and category strategy development and conveyance

  • Proven knowledge in sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts

  • Proven knowledge of the various dimensions of HR and commercial models

  • Advanced in analytics and the ability to analyze specifications and influence demand

  • Very strong in stakeholder and supplier relationship management

  • Strong capability to independently interact throughout the broader Accenture organization

  • Strong analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

  • Strong knowledge of procurement tools content and data analysis

  • Project and process management knowledge and experience

  • Forward, out of the box thinking and an innovative, disruptive, and open mindset

  • Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adopt a flexible approach and prioritize tasks appropriately

  • Comfortable navigating in a multicultural environment

  • Fluent in English, spoken and written

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, procurement, HR, or comparable professional education

  • Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with a proven multi-year track record in the above areas

  • At least 8 years working experience in similar or adequate roles in procurement environment, with international project and people management elements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with senior executives to implement and manage initiatives in a highly complex matrix organization
